Model United Nations is an international program present in almost every country around the world. The Lebanese American University is its official holder in Lebanon. Model UN is a program built on training High School students, and Middle School students, over the course of training sessions culminating in a two-day final conference.
Who we are?
Model United Nations (MUN) is an internationally known simulation model of the United Nations (UN) and its agencies. A program of the UN Foundation, Global Classrooms (GC) is the UN Association of the United States of America’s (UNA-USA) flagship program. The GC program in the Middle East has been officially and exclusively implemented by the Lebanese American University (LAU). The GC LAU MUN program was first launched in 2005.
The GC LAU MUN program encourages students, coming from diverse socio-economic and sectarian backgrounds, to acknowledge each other’s differences, be emotionally intelligent, think methodically and objectively about United Nations (UN) problems, accept diversity, and gain communication, negotiation, and leadership skills as well as a deep understanding of the global challenges facing the UN.
The first to be part of our conference is to express your interest by registering yourself/your school.
Upon registration, our team will be in contact to guide you with next steps and to provide you with access to our portal- our online gateway to have a great Model UN experience!
